Acts of Kindness

According to wikipedia, a random act of kindness is a nonpremeditated, inconsistent action designed to offer kindness towards the outside world. The question we should ask ourselves is how often do you make a deliberate attempt to brighten another person's day or put someone else first. When was the last time you tried to cheer someone that was lonely, shower a coworker with kindness and expect nothing in return and also share a smile.

Remember one small, thoughtful gesture can make someone else's day...

1. Say "Good morning" to a person standing next to you.

2. Say "I love you" to someone you love.

3. Each time you get a new item of clothing, give away something old.

4. Say "please" and "thank you"—and really mean it.

5. Don't interrupt when someone is explaining herself.

6.Let a fellow driver merge into your lane.

7.Listen with all your senses.

8.Simply say "I'm sorry" when you're wrong.

9.Encourage someone who seems despondent

10.Ask someone "How are you really doing?"—and then really listen to her response.

Things to Remember this Year.

This year, don't ask for happiness to come your way, but ask for eyes and a heart that see happiness in what you already have. Ask for health, for simplicity, and for ease of mind. Ask for patience. Ask for goodness. Ask for contentment and conviction in your beliefs and in your condition. Ask for the motivation to pursue your dreams. For less weakness in your emotions. Ask for a balance between your mind's logic and your heart's reason. Most importantly, ask for the power to want to change to the better every moment you're blessed to be able to breathe comfortably because millions out there breathe only because they must strive to survive. You are more than just surviving. So live. Give as much as you can and love as much as you can, without expecting anything in return.
