Hand washing

The usefulness and effectiveness of hand washing cannot be overemphasized. Hand washing helps in prevention of infection/bacteria and spread of illness etc. The question here is how often do we need to wash our hands? The answer is frequently as this act can help limit the transfer of bacteria, viruses and other microbes.

When we touch people, surfaces and objects throughout the day, we accumulate a large amount of germs on our hands and in turn, we  infect ourselves with these germs by touching our eyes, nose or mouth. Although it's impossible to keep your hands germ-free at all times, that's why we needs to cultivate the habit of washing our hands frequently.

Always wash your hands before you do the following:

-Prepare food or eat
-Treat wounds.
-Give medicine, or care for a sick or injured  person.

Always wash your hands after:

-Preparing food, especially raw meat or poultry
-Using the toilet or changing a diaper
-Touching/Disposing of garbage.
Blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing into your hands
-Treating wounds or caring for a sick or injured Person.
-Shaking hands with others
- Always wash your hands whenever they look dirty.

Remember clealiness is next to godliness.
